What a great day!

I have wrested control away from the others in my head for long enough to report some great news for our family.

First and foremost, this morning Ian rolled over! He is 10 weeks and 2 days today. I put him down on his tummy for some tummy time, and was watching TV. I looked down and he was on his back with a surprised look on his face - did I do that? Of course, I got all excited and put him back on his tummy and ran for the video camera. When I turned around, he was on his back again! What a great little guy!

Unfortunately, he hasn't done it for the camera yet :( When he does, I hope to post some video for everyone to see!

The second bit of good news today is that I was offered my old job back with the company that bought out my old company - you know, the one that went bankrupt. So I will be starting for them, working from home, until they have some office space set up in town (hopefully in the same building as before, so that I can continue to carpool with the husband). Yippee! I'm very excited to have my job back. I love my son dearly but we need a 2nd income.

So I have to start looking for a day care soon. I hope I'm able to find a decent one that's not too expensive. My boss said that they plan to be in an office by March 10th.

That works out ok for me because when I went on maternity leave, I planned to go back on March 17th. So in reality, the whole bankruptcy thing worked out rather well for me. If I was still with my old company and the bankruptcy had never happened, I wouldn't have been paid for these 12 weeks off. But since I was laid off 3 weeks into my leave, I was able to go on unemployment and I've been paid by that for the last month. So it's been a good thing for me.

I'm excited to be working again and with my friends from my old job. Also today I got to have lunch with several friends from there also. It was great to get out of the house!

Today has been a really good day :)
